Riley Green Sets the Record Straight on His Relationship Status
Riley Green is finally addressing the swirling rumors about his love life. The country star has been at the center of speculation, with fans eagerly trying to uncover whether there's a special someone in his life. After months of buzz, Green has officially put the rumors to rest.
Over the past year, fans have played detective, analyzing social media posts and public appearances for hints about Green’s romantic status. The speculation initially pointed toward fellow country singer Ella Langley, who collaborated with Green on the duet “You Look Like You Love Me.” However, Green quickly shut down those rumors, stating on Nick Viall’s podcast, The Viall Files, that they are “just friends.”
“I mean, Ella’s probably too smart to date me anyway,” Green joked during the interview.
More recently, fans shifted their attention to Megan Moroney. The rumors sparked when both artists appeared to be vacationing in Saint-Jean, St. Barthélemy at the same time. Adding fuel to the fire, Moroney posted a photo wearing a cowboy hat that looked similar to one Green had worn in a previous post. However, in a January interview with SiriusXM, Moroney made it clear that she’s too busy for a relationship.
“I feel like these past two weeks are the first time I’ve taken a breath all year,” she said. “Even just trying to get to know someone right now, I’m just like, ‘I’m just exhausted.’ I have a whole tour next year... Maybe in, what, 2026? Maybe I’ll get a boyfriend.”
Green finally addressed the rumors himself during an appearance on the new podcast In The Blind, hosted by Eric Gunderson and Cloyd Rivers. When asked directly if he was single, Green didn’t hesitate to answer.
“Single. That was an easy one,” he confirmed. When pressed further on how single he is, Green responded, “Pretty damn single.”
While his love life might be quiet, Green is staying busy with new ventures. He recently revealed that he’s exploring acting opportunities, a passion he first tapped into during his time on Redneck Island seasons four and five.
“I needed something else to be doing, like I’m not busy enough,” Green joked. “I read for a couple of things in LA a week or so ago and it looks like I may try a little bit of it out... It’s kind of another challenge and certainly something that goes well with country music.”
In addition to acting, Green has been writing new music as he gears up for his next headlining run, The Damn Country Music Tour. The tour kicks off on March 27 with stops across Canada before returning to the U.S. on May 1 in Athens, Georgia. The tour is set to run through August.
