Is Zach Top Alan Jackson’s Son? Country Singer Hilariously Responds to Viral Rumors
Zach Top Hilariously Addresses Rumors That Alan Jackson Is His Father
Zach Top is embracing the internet buzz surrounding a viral theory that country legend Alan Jackson is his father—and his response is pure comedy.
During a recent interview with Audacy’s Rob and Holly, the rising country star playfully addressed the speculation, saying, “Oh, it’s more than just a rumor. I’ve been trying to figure out the truth myself! My parents won’t give me a straight answer—nobody will.”
Will Zach Top Finally Get Answers in Fort Worth?
The "I Never Lie" singer quipped that he might finally uncover the truth when he meets Alan Jackson in Fort Worth, Texas. Top is set to open for Jackson on February 15 at Dickies Arena—a moment he’s eagerly anticipating.
“I think the only way I’m going to get a straight answer is in Fort Worth. When I finally meet him, I’m just going to walk up and say, ‘Hi, Daddy. I missed you,’ and see how he reacts. Then, I’ll know if it’s true or not,” Top joked.
While he isn’t sure if Alan Jackson is aware of the viral conspiracy theory, Top hopes the country legend’s team has caught wind of it. “I don’t imagine he scrolls Instagram or TikTok much, but surely someone on his team has told him about it. Maybe we can do something funny on tour to acknowledge it,” he added.
Fans Can't Get Enough of the Alan Jackson Comparison
With his ’90s country sound and striking resemblance to Jackson, Zach Top has fueled online speculation—even though it's all in good fun. Earlier this year, a radio station used AI to merge their photos, showcasing their uncanny similarities. Some fans even took it a step further, editing Top’s Wikipedia page to list Alan Jackson as his father.
While fans continue to run with the joke, the reality is clear: Alan Jackson has been happily married to his wife, Denise Jackson, for decades, and they share three daughters—not Zach Top.
Still, Top wouldn’t mind playing into the fun while on tour. “If he invites me on stage for a song, I hope he just says, ‘That’s my boy,’” he said with a laugh.
Before wrapping up the conversation, Zach Top made sure to send a message to Jackson, saying, “Sorry, Alan, if this is disrespectful… We love you, respect you, and we’re just having fun.”
