WATCH: Megan Moroney's NPR Tiny Desk Concert
Megan Moroney brought her signature “emo cowgirl” vibe to NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert, treating fans to an intimate, four-song performance that highlighted her raw storytelling and signature sound.
Recorded live at NPR Music headquarters, the set featured some of Moroney’s biggest hits, including the platinum-certified “I’m Not Pretty,” the deeply personal “No Caller ID,” her breakout No.1 smash “Tennessee Orange,” and her latest rising single “Am I Okay?”
A Performance Full of Personality
Dressed in a rhinestone-studded royal blue mini dress, Moroney not only delivered stunning vocals but also shared personal anecdotes between songs. Introducing “No Caller ID,” she joked about its inspiration:
“It’s a song about an ex that wouldn’t quit calling because I wouldn’t quit answering, which is wonderful,” she said with an eye roll. “I don’t know if you have an ex like mine, but surely you get no caller ID calls from people wanting to extend your car’s warranty. My hope today is that you’ll always think of me when you get one.”
This candid and witty storytelling made the performance even more special, allowing fans to connect with her music on a deeper level.
